There are a few areas on this Pauper’s tea (Sageretia Thea) that are in need of a little light pruning. The places with arrows indicate areas where new growth breaks the silhouette. Although, it is a rather interesting time in the growing season currently. It has been extremely hot, but autumn is also right around the corner, and trees will soon be going dormant. Therefore, most everything at this point in time will receive a more gentle pruning than if it were early spring. We want trees to go into winter strong and healthy, not weak and scrambling to recover from a major pruning.
